SATURDAY RIDE – Old 20 Bar – Cushing, IA (Backup option included!)

Corey & Terry will lead this Saturday ride. Both Corey and Terry have not graduated to die-hard riders, and are fair weather riders. So, while we will do what we can to notify people of a cancellation due to inclement weather, please use your own judgement as well. If the conditions are not suitable for your capabilities, then don’t come. If we are not there, chances are, you missed a cancellation, or maybe we are on the bike and can’t currently send one. However, if the weather looks workable to you, and not to us, feel free to use the information in this message, and carry on the ride without us. This is for the ride, comradery, and some food. No specific person has to be there to make the day/ride successful.

Old 20 Bar was closed, and then reopened. I have tried 3 different phone numbers, and all I have tried are disconnected. However, there are recent reviews, and also when we drive by it for the Sat ride to Backdraft, the open sign was on. So, we’ll make an attempt. If they are closed, Anthon is within about 15 minutes, from there, and we will change course for the Fireside as a backup.

The ride is about a 50-60 minute ride with the route we are taking, so leaving at 10:30 should allot us enough time to get to either Old 20, or the Fireside in reasonable time for lunch.

The plan is to shove off from the BAK BMW at 10:30AM, arrive at one or the other about noon, and then between 1-1:30PM shove off for the roughly hour commute back, putting us back by about 2:30-3PM ish. Please arrive slightly early and be fueled up and ready to depart at 10AM We can always collectively decide to to a scenic way back as well.

Below is a rough idea of the route we will likely take. However, as always, depending on who all shows up, and what we are feeling, the route could easily turn into a different one.
