10:30AM SATURDAY ride to Onawa, IA & Lunch @ Rockin’ Robbins
Terry was going to check this place out this Saturday on his own, and decided to invite us all for a ride to enjoy together. It will be short one because it will be sunny, hot, and humid. So, while we will do what we can to notify people of a cancellation due to inclement weather, please use your own judgement as well. If the conditions are not suitable for your capabilities, then don’t come. If we are not there, chances are, you missed a cancellation, or maybe we are on the bike and can’t currently send one. However, if the weather looks workable to you, and not to us, feel free to use the information in this message, and carry on the ride without us. This is for the ride, comradery, and some food. No specific person must be there to make the day/ride successful.
As we have stated before, we won’t be taking a direct route, it will be kind of a fun route. It will be a little shorter ride out. About 1:30 hour ride to The Rockin Robbin’s in Onawa, IA, following State Highways 141, 183, 37 and 175
The plan is to leave from the Casey’s in Sergeant Bluff, KSU (Kick Stands Up) at 10:30 am arrive at The Rockin Robbin’s in Onawa, IA at about noon, and then between 1-1:30PM head out for home. It may be hot like 92, so we might head home as fast as the bikes and speed limits will allow.
The Route, leaving Sgt Bluff and moving around the detour in town head out toward Bronson (D38). Pick up 141 and take that to Ute, pick up 183 to Soldier and then on 37, in Turin pick up 175 to Onawa. The Address is 807 Iowa Street. At one time this was the Suds and Jugs.
Reviews have been good so will be adding it to next years ride schedule. This is kind of a sneak peak if you will. Its an easy ride. And a well-run route, just for fun and food. No map with this one as we most likely know it by heart. Hope to see you all there….
